Amy Alterisio is a New England based painter whose work explores color and texture to evoke a sense of emotion. While the work leans more realistic, there’s a visual intensity and tactile sensation formed in the way the color and brushwork interplay.

Alterisio recently received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of New Hampshire in May 2025. Her senior thesis called “Growing Pains” explored the themes of childhood memories and sibling connection.

Post-grad, Alterisio is seeking to continue her professional art practice while beginning her teaching career, aiming to inspire the next generation of creatives.
